Key Activities
- Oversee day-to-day operations for assigned individuals supported.
- Supervise a team of 10–15 Intervenors, commending excellent performance and addressing concerns.
- Ensure program quality standards and client satisfaction are met.
- Provide on-call support biweekly to monthly as needed.
- Handle inquiries, advocate for clients and their families.
- Offer guidance and problem solving assistance to Intervenors.
- Recruit, hire, orient, and train new Intervenors.
- Schedule and conduct team meetings.
- Conduct performance appraisals and progress reports.
- Process biweekly payroll approval for the team.
- Manage budget and process financial documents.
- Implement protocols for medical, behavioural, and health & safety issues.
Education and Experience Required
- Post-secondary education in Human Services, Social Services, or equivalent.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or sensory loss.
- Two years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Formal supervisory/leadership training is an asset.
- Knowledge of medication administration.
- Understanding of Employment Standards and Occupational Health and Safety Acts.
- Computer proficiency, including MS Office Suite and database software.
- Employment conditional upon a successful Vulnerable Sector Police Check and a clean current driver's abstract.
- Valid G-class driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and ability to obtain minimum liability insurance of $2 million.
Working Environment and Physical Demands
- Supports individuals in public/community settings.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week with flexibility for evenings and weekends.
- On-call duty outside business hours on average one week every 4–6 weeks.
- Occasional travel within Southwestern Ontario, including visits to the main office in Paris, ON.
