About the Opportunity
The Perioperative Unit Aide is responsible for set up and turnover of the Operating Room Theaters. The Perioperative Unit Aide will collaborate with the Perioperative Clinical Nurse Lead to maintain the daily functioning of the operating room.
The Perioperative Unit Aide will collaborate with the Supply Chain Operations technician to coordinate, monitor and enhance the supply chain process within the Perioperative Services to ensure that products arrive in a timely and efficient manner.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following :
- Successful completion of Grade XII required
- Successful completion of a recognized Medical Terminology course is preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications for Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
- Demonstrated proficiency in SAP material management module and inventory control is preferred
- Knowledge of OR supplies, instruments, inventory control and workflow preferred
- Knowledge of how to generate, coordinate and track purchase orders is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced work environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a polite, courteous and pleasant attitude towards patients, staff and co-workers
- Demonstrated ability to function well as a team member required
- Previous work attendance may be considered
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
- Long Assignment Part-time (50%); 37.5 hours bi-weekly

Compensation and Incentives
$20.13 - $21.69 Hourly
