Regional Property Manager

The Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated, honest, fast paced, hardworking individual with the proven ability to manage a team, with a customer service mindset and the ability to effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the portfolio. We need an approachable Regional Property Manager with a process improvement mindset and the ability to influence multiple personalities at various levels.

Position Description

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Effectively manage a large portfolio of residential properties ensuring maximized revenues and reduced expenditures
• Managing a team of portfolio staff ensuring customer service is at the forefront
• Preparing financial reports for management
• Preparing and adhering to annual operating and capital budgets
• Collecting of rent, reducing vacancies, and managing lease negotiations
• Completion of all building inspections and submitting findings.
• Working with contractors and obtaining the necessary quotes to adhere to budgetary requirements.
• Managing all capital projects by approving contractors, purchase orders and managing trades

Experience

In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have:

• A minimum 5 years of experience as a Property Manager in the Residential Sector
• Experience Managing a portfolio with over 1000 residential units
• Experience managing a large team of staff directly and indirectly; including Property Managers, Administrators, Resident Manager’s, maintenance staff, etc.

Qualifications

• CPM designation a strong asset
• Strong computer skills; MS Office and Yardi a strong asset.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to think on your feet

Education

A post-secondary diploma within real estate or a related field a strong asset.
