Hours of Work :

33.75 hours per week Monday - Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program.

Salary Range :

21M Salary Grade : 044 $48.84- $61.54 (Hourly) $3296.80 - $4154.40 (Bi-Weekly) $86045.63 - $ 108430.43 (Annually).

The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) requires an experienced Forensic Video Analyst to assist the Facial Recognition and Forensic Video Unit (FRFV). Responsibilities of this position will include :

• Establishing and maintaining electronic evidence services as they relate specifically to video analysis post-production video editing and related disclosure requirements.
• Establishing and maintaining standards procedures and documentation to ensure the integrity and continuity of exhibits.
• Researching planning producing and presenting technical recommendations by formal report.
• Maintenance of laboratory systems software and network infrastructure.
• Putting in place strategies to resolve recurring trouble and / or issues with technology.
• Crafting expansion and retirement strategies of technologies utilized by Forensic Video Analsys and Forensic Video Field Technicians.
• Working with other operational areas in maintaining an ever evolving support services model including the mentorship of Forensic Video Field Technicians operating in the field.
• Preparation of reports for investigative and judicial review.
• Assisting investigators in securing computer evidence subsequent to judicial orders as required.
• Performing administrative functions and other duties supporting forensic service systems and applications.
