Operations Officer - 57078

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Operations Officer to join our Insurance Claims team in Markham. This is a 100% back-office role designed for an individual who excels in data management and operational support. You will play a key role in supporting the claims lifecycle through salvage recovery, data entry, and reconciliation tasks. This position offers a fantastic entry point into the banking and insurance industry with a team known for high levels of training and support.

Location : Markham, ON (Hybrid – 3 days in office : Mon / Wed / Thu)

Duration : 4 Months (Potential for extension or permanent conversion)

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 4 : 30 PM

Pay Rate : $20.77 / hr

Responsibilities

Operational Support : Execute a broad range of transactions and specialized processing activities accurately and on time.

Salvage & Claims : Assist with salvage recovery processes and provide support for ongoing claims projects.

Data Management : Perform high-volume data entry and manage information within ministry portals.

Reconciliation : Support the business by performing financial and data reconciliations to ensure record accuracy.

Compliance : Adhere to enterprise frameworks, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Business Continuity protocols, while maintaining strict confidentiality.

SLA Management : Prioritize and manage your own workload to consistently meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and productivity targets.

Process Improvement : Identify and suggest opportunities to improve service delivery and internal operating models.

Qualifications

Experience : 0–2 years of experience in data entry, data analytics, office administration, or trade / transaction processing.

Education : High School Diploma required; Post-Secondary education is preferred.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (a must) and Outlook. Ability to quickly learn new software and platforms.

Core Competencies :

Exceptional attention to detail is crucial for this role.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proven ability to meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.

Analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have : Previous experience with reconciliation, data analytics, or knowledge of Money Market (MM) and Foreign Exchange (FX) products.
