About the role.

McCain Foods is seeking someone who has a strong technical background and a desire to grow as a leader in the engineering department in the role of Reliability Engineer. The ideal candidate needs excellent interpersonal skills as they will deal with everyone from general laborers and mechanics to plant management on a day-to-day basis. An ability to work in a fast paced fun and team-based environment is crucial.

What youll be doing.

• Identify and manage asset reliability that could adversely affect plant or business operations.
• Leads the Root Cause Failure Analysis effort for sporadic equipment failures and ensure failure modes are addressed
• Maintain criticality list and determine maintenance strategies for assets based on ranking
• Manage the plants predictive and preventative maintenance programs
• Research and implement new condition monitoring and predictive maintenance technologies
• Create and maintain maintenance and reliability KPIs in conformance with a world class reliability program
• Monitor asset availability analyze data for trends and use findings to recommend improvements or predict future failures
• Work with Regional Reliability Managers to advance the plants reliability
• Make specific recommendations to the Engineering Management Team to improve machinery performance and reliability based on analysis of process and failure data
• Identity Sustainable Cost Advantage opportunities through reducing maintenance costs or increasing equipment capability.
• Support and identify training opportunities and activities for the Maintenance Department
• Manage of Capital projects from creation of the REA to the execution of the project
• Assist Capital project process with reliability analysis of new designs to determine system asset and component reliability
• Supports plant safety programs and departmental safety requests
• Perform additional duties as assigned

What youll need to be successful.

• Education: minimum Undergraduate degree in Engineering required.
• Can communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in written work
• Strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical skills (e.g. root cause analysis and statistical analysis)
• Displays vision and demonstrate both personal and organizational sensitivity
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings schematics and computer-generated reports

Compensation Package:$69700.00 -$93000.00 . CAD annually Bonus Eligibility

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience skill set education and training and other organizational needs.
