Summary The designer-programmer programs industrial control systems. Depending on their experience, they may be involved in designing logic, project documentation and training plans for the client.
Roles and responsibilities
- Selection of control equipment appropriate to the project needs;
- Preparation of a control architecture and main parts lists;
- Preparation of PLC input and output lists;
- Programming of PLCs, operator interfaces, robots and HMI;
- Program testing prior to commissioning at the customer's site;
- Testing of control panels at the manufacturer's site;
- Supervision and support for the installation of the control system at the customer's site;
- Program commissioning at the customer's site;
- Training of the customer's operators or technicians;
- Production support after commissioning.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in automated production engineering or electrical engineering;A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position;Functional English and French.Specific requirements
Experience in the manufacturing sector;Knowledge of systems used in the manufacturing field - an asset;Knowledge of machine safety methods and standards – an asset;Ability to travel to client sites or abroad;Francization
