Position Summary

Job Description M&A Analyst Company : Perseus Group Constellation Software The Company Perseus is an operating group of Constellation Software () a publicly traded company with a market cap of C$80 bn. It has over 2000 employees and comprises 60 companies in 10 verticals located in over 30 offices. Perseus acquires vertical market software companies around the world with a buy-and-hold mandate. It provides them with the strategic guidance and financial security they need to become leaders within their respective markets.

The Role Perseus is currently scaling their M&A organization. The M&A Analyst role will support the Gemini Portfolio in deal origination and relationship building through primary research company screening and outreach.

Job Responsibilities

Support the Gemini Portfolio in building out a pipeline of potential target opportunities by qualifying business fit :

Find opportunities through greenfield research using tools such as CapIQ

Follow public company news flow and filings to look for opportunities out of strategic reviews or restructuring announcements

Screen opportunities from a third party resource

Deliver quarterly reports that summarize and accurately categorize potential target company information including related portfolio and industry fit and level of Perseus interest

Initiate outreach and follow up with potential targets in an organized and professional manner

Track activities and maintain relevant information in CRM software

Work Experience / Profile :

1-2 years of progressive work experience in a professional environment

Origination experience or interest in building a pipeline of exciting prospects within the software space

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment manage multiple priorities

Strong communication skills (both verbal & written) with an emphasis on relationships

Strong ability to process qualitative and quantitative data to draw conclusions and qualify leads accurately

Basic Excel skills and financial literacy are required; educational background in business with accounting and financial knowledge / interest Only qualified candidates will be contacted to schedule the next steps in our interview process
