Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Licensed or Apprentice) to join our team. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our aircraft fleet. Your primary responsibility will be to inspect, maintain, and repair our aircraft to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities
Troubleshoot aircraft structural, mechanical, or hydraulic systems to identify problems and adjust and repair systems according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals, and established procedures.Repair and overhaul aircraft structural, mechanical, or hydraulic systems.Install or modify aircraft engines and mechanical, hydraulic, flight control, fuel, and pneumatic systems.Dismantle airframes, aircraft engines or other aircraft systems for repair, overhaul, and cleaning, and reassemble.Perform and document routine maintenance.Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies.Obtain and maintain a valid RAIC (Red Pass) and AVOP (Full “D”) for aircraft towing.Ensure proper tool control is followed.Ensure all paperwork is completed clearly and accurately, including logbooks, task cards, etc.Abide by the rules set in the CBA.Assist with aircraft movements and ensure all aircraft outside are properly marked with safety cones.Communicate with Flight Crews on aircraft defects.Foster a healthy working environment and promote a positive climate within the workplace.Ensure the performance of any work they undertake is done efficiently and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.Perform and uphold Wasaya’s Customer Care Commitments to both internal and external customers.Complete any required training prior to the due date.Maintain their license certification(s).Employ safe work practices and prevent unsafe work practices from continuing.Perform other related duties as assigned.Skills and Qualifications
Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Course or relevant experience through International Correspondence School (ICS).Experience working on airframes such as B1900D, Dash 8, ATR-42 / 72, PC 12 / 45, and C208.A strong safety-minded approach to work.An AME license (M1 / M2, E or S) is required.Excellent computer skills, preferably MS-Office, and proficiency in internet and email use.Ability to work in a team and independently.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Professional and tactful interpersonal skills.Ability to communicate in Oji-Cree or Ojibway is an asset.Previous airline experience and knowledge of First Nations Organizations are assets.Working Conditions
Occasional travel required.Weekend, evening, and night shifts may be required.Hazards associated with trade, including loud noise, dirt, oil, and fumes.Overtime as needed.Potential work in confined spaces.Use of safety equipment (PPE) required.Respirator fit testing may be required.Physical Requirements
