What You’ll Do
Responsibilities may vary depending on the specific position assigned to but they may include :
Follow the utility / process plant operators and become familiar with the unit operators' daily tasks and job requirement
Perform water test
Troubleshoot process upsets / problems with the unit operato
Trace piping drawings and read through documentation about process equipment
Who You Are
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications :
Legally authorized to work in the Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)
Available to begin work in May 2026
Ability to work well in a team environment
Must be willing to follow rotational shift schedule
Requires valid H2S alive ticket
We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
Education
Enrolled in the first year of a Power Engineering Diploma Program at an accredited post-secondary institution and planning to resume full-time studies after the work term to achieve diploma and 3rd class certification.
Completed coursework but requires 3rd class steam time to complete the full certification.
New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
Working Conditions
May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc.
Safety Sensitive
This may be a safety-sensitive role, and you will also be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours. Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the pre-employment medical and drug / alcohol assessment requirements.
Safety sensitive positions require the operation of a motor vehicle, applicants are asked to provide a recent (i.e., issued within the previous 4 weeks) original driver’s abstract, for the preceding 5-year period, if offered the position.
