We are looking for a Class 1 Truck driver to join the Sutco Transportation team in Vernon BC. Position Benefits

  • Driver rates : Super Bs : $31.96 / hour and Quads : $30.93 / hour (before bonuses and other incentives)
  • Reliable year‑round, Monday to Friday work that gets you home every day

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre and post‑trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety, road worthiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Load and unload wood residual fibre products in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure safe transportation of freight by securing goods while loading and unloading.
  • Tarp vehicle using manual or auto tarps as available.
  • Chain‑up vehicle based on road conditions.
  • Complete all electronic records regarding working hours, vehicle status and maintenance records using the industry’s best fleet management system, ISAAC.
  • Ensure trucks are left clean and safe at the end of each shift.

    • Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Class 1 Driver’s Licence
  • Willingness to do rotational shift work
  • 2 years of trucking experience preferred
  • Mountain driving and Super‑B experience preferred
  • Acceptable commercial driver’s abstract, based on Sutco’s abstract review policy
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment Drug & Alcohol Testing
