About the Position

We are currently seeking a CNC Operator – Laser Cutting to join our manufacturing team in Quebec City.

The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and possesses strong technical and manual skills.

Fluency in French is mandatory for this role.

Salary: Based on experience (unionized position)

Schedule: Rotating day and evening shifts, every two weeks

• Day shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Evening shift: Monday to Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Main Responsibilities

• Start up and operate the CNC cutting table by selecting appropriate materials and programs.
• Operate laser cutting machines, collect finished parts, and manage scrap material.
• Inspect the quality of cut or bent parts and make necessary adjustments.
• Sort and organize parts according to specifications and ensure proper material recycling.
• Set up and operate the press brake according to material type and thickness.
• Program the press brake using part codes.
• Change tools as needed and verify the quality of bent parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Fluency in French (mandatory).
• Diploma in metallurgy or equivalent vocational training (asset).
• Experience operating CNC machinery (asset).
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Basic computer skills.
• Accuracy, rigor, and attention to detail.
• Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving ability.
