THE ROLE
Our recruitment team is currently working with a growing production manufacturer seeking a CNC Programmer and Production Planner to work fully in the office at the location in Pitt Meadows. Shift times : 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required for overtime and potential weekend work.
The hired candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the automation of equipment and performing detailed production plans, including designs and drawings through Solidworks and AutoCAD.
The right candidate comes in with a commanding technical side, as well as accountability and strong communication skills to fill reports and share production plans with the senior team. This role depends on working closely with the team, so we need someone who takes ownership of their work and keeps the team informed.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform high-level designs and programming using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and work with STEP files for CNC machine operations .
- Work with Hypertherm’s ProNest software at an advanced level is essential, including the ability to program and create nests across multiple machines.
- Production flow and planning in a fast-paced environment.
- Management of multiple part numbers simultaneously and making real-time adjustments to production schedules and nests to maximize efficiency.
- Analyze at a high level, seeing the bigger picture, and adapting quickly as priorities shift.
REQUIREMENTS :
4-5 years of experience in automation, design, and production planning experience preferably in the steel industry .Comfortable working both in and out of the office and on the production floor.Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel and Outlook.Having access to reliable transportation.Able to thrive in a fast-paced production setting.Preference is given to those coming from structured steel / aluminum / copper / metal / wood / plastic custom product manufacturing companies.Proven high level of attention to detail in all aspects of the job, ensuring no element is overlooked.Strong problem-solving to proactively identify potential issues.Commanding communication skills, providing detailed insights for continuous improvement.Adhere to strict company policies.COMPENSATION :
$100,000 to $110,000 depending on experience.
