Salary: $50,000-$65,000/year depending on experience

This Opportunity

Were on the hunt for a conveyancer to join our busy Real Estate Department. The right person is detail-obsessed, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can juggle files without dropping the ball on client service.

Ideally, you bring 3+ years of conveyancing experience but if youre earlier in your career and have the drive to learn, were willing to train the right candidate.

If you take initiative, stay organized, and can communicate clearly with clients, lawyers, and realtors without breaking a sweat, youll fit right in.

Our Firm

We are well-established in the Fraser Valley, having operated from the same building in Abbotsford since 1971 (which we now own) and expanding to a second office in Langley in 2023. As a full-service firm, we have proudly supported multiple generations of families, homeowners, businesses and Fraser Valley residents with all their legal needs for over 50 years.

Our real estate team tackles deals across the province but because the Land Title Office and certain banking institutions have a deep and abiding love of wet-ink signatures, this role is based in our Abbotsford office.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting Due Diligence Searches
• Reviewing contracts, title searches and other legal documents
• Preparation of sale, purchase, and mortgage documents for residential conveyancing
• Corresponding with clients, solicitors, conveyancers, mortgage brokers, and real estate agents
• Electronically register documents with the Land Title Office
• Reporting to the client and lenders

Core Competencies & Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized Legal Assistant or Paralegal program is an asset
• Proficient in BC Online; Econvey and e-filing
• Subdivision experience would be an asset
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Strong communication and client-service skills
