Job description

One Floral Group is a wholesale flower producer that provides tailored floral solutions to retail customers throughout North America and is one of the fastest growing producers of floral products. Our business has over four million square feet of growing and production space in more than six facilities in three different climate zones. We have the ability to grow and build a variety of products, including potted plants and planters, outdoor lawn and garden plants, and vegetable propagation in the best conditions.Reporting to the Production Planning Manager this position will be a key player in the Production Office supporting the varying floral programs and veg program. The individual in this position should possess above average accuracy and organizational skills, be able to problem solve, have excellent follow-through procedures, excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced, high-energy atmosphere. Required Education, Skills and Qualifications : Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), with intermediate proficiency in MS ExcelExcellent communication skills required (both verbal and written)Strong attention to detailAbility to work within a team environment as well as independentlyStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to manage large workloads and work under pressureAbility to effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that all Administrative Assistant duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner, well versed in Microsoft applications.Ability to work weekends and be flexible depending on work / seasonal requirements.Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics-Navision and Agriware ERP software would be an assetPrimary responsibilitiesPosting of production orders into the system accurately, closing manufacturing work orders and verifying data inputPrint and organize work orders for next actions for production teamRe-class Plant inventory to ensure accuracy at all locationsVerify and print stick tags, crop labels and UPC’sHelp with inventory counting and keep track of shrink sheets dailyProviding administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the officeSupport managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communicationResponsible for confidential and time sensitive materialUnderstand and aid the planning manager in the veggie space planUnderstand and aid in entering sales orders for the businessHelp in implementing the new ERP system and ensure the system works for the production teamTo become familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and proceduresTrack Norm hours for quarterly reviewRecord and track non-standard labour hoursCompile weekly the operational meeting PowerPointEnsure all Organic documentation is accurate and up to date at all timesPopulate over sow / over plant sheets for every veggie order once completeKeep track of Production & Office supplies and order as neededMonth end duties and cleaning of inventory binsBank depositsOther duties as assignedHealth and SafetyMaintain a safe and healthy work environment.Recognize unsafe conditions and practices, and report these to prevent injuries and property loss.Follow all Health and Safety policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook, the Occupational Health & Safety Act, and other relevant Codes and Standards.Working ConditionsWork is normally performed in an Office environment Time maybe spent in the greenhouse environmentSitting for long periods of timeAbility to use various types of equipment to perform job dutiesFull workweek with overtime when needed, extended hours during peak seasonWeekends and holidays required when necessary to meet business / customer requirementsHours of work (shift as scheduled)
