Skills and Qualifications
Relevant experience in building maintenance (minimum 5 years, an asset).
Technical versatility : ability to work across multiple trades (plumbing, electricity, ventilation, carpentry, etc.).
Technical knowledge in mechanics, electricity, plumbing, HVAC systems, etc.
Team and project management skills.
Strong organizational skills, rigor, autonomy, and ability to manage priorities.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency with computer tools (CMMS, Excel, etc.).
Flexibility to occasionally be available evenings or weekends for minor emergencies.
Working Conditions

Salary : starting at $60,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Job Summary
Under the supervision of the General Management, the Maintenance & Building Services Coordinator plans, organizes, supervises, and carries out all maintenance, upkeep, and repair activities for CFGM’s facilities, equipment, and buildings. This person manages a small team, maintains relationships with suppliers, ensures regulatory compliance, and contributes to optimizing costs, quality, and response times.
Main Responsibilities
Technical and Operational Management
Plan, organize, supervise, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings, equipment, and installations (heating, ventilation, plumbing, electricity, etc.).
Personally carry out routine maintenance and repair work within the scope of skills and applicable standards.
Diagnose breakdowns, prioritize, and coordinate internal or external interventions when required.
Implement and monitor a preventive maintenance schedule.
Ensure installations comply with current safety and quality standards.
Manage inventory of parts, tools, and equipment needed for maintenance.
Supplier and Contract Management
Identify, select, and evaluate service and material suppliers related to maintenance and capital assets.
Negotiate contracts, monitor service quality, and maintain sustainable partnerships.
Establish supplier performance indicators and ensure regular follow-up.
Team Management
Supervise, train, and engage one or two maintenance employees.
Assign tasks, ensure deadlines are met, and maintain quality standards.
Promote versatility and skill development within the team.
Budgetary and Administrative Management
In collaboration with General Management, develop and monitor the maintenance budget.
Prepare activity reports, recommend investments or improvements.
Stay informed on technological and regulatory developments.
Continuous Improvement
Propose and implement solutions to optimize costs, timelines, and quality of interventions.
Participate in renovation, expansion, or infrastructure improvement projects.
