Job Title: VMWare 4.1 to 5.0 Migration Consultant
Location Edmonton, AB
Days of work: Monday to Friday after hours and weekends.
Start/end time each day: 5 PM start time – work must be done after hours & on weekends
Hours per week: 37.5 to 40
Reason:
Our client has been having some issues with VMWare as well as with some of the IBM hardware they currently have. The client believes that a VMware migration from v4.1 to v5.0. may resolve most if not all of his issues. (Resource to confirm). Client wants a partner that has experience with IBM equipment and is a senior resource in VMWare. Resource will need to perform the work after hours or over the weekends as this is a live environment & they cannot have the network down.
Role:
-Experience migrating VMWare environment from 4.1 to 5.0.
-Support experience in a private sector company would be a great asset
-Excellent communications and client facing “people skills”.
-Working knowledge of VMware 4.1 and VMware 5.0
-Working knowledge of VMWare migration from 4.1 to 5.0
-Working knowledge of IBM Hardware – x3650-M3 Servers (See current environment above)
-VMWare certification
-Working knowledge of VMware within IBM Server environments
-Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record with no criminal record
Overview of current environment: (Approx. 100 users – Single office Law Firm in Edmonton, AB).
