We are looking for a Payroll and Benefits Supervisor (15 to 18 month contract) to join the People and Culture team at our Head Office located in Mississauga, ON !
As a trusted member of our People & Culture team, you will be responsible for supervising the operation of the Payroll, Benefit and Pension administration of all employees across Canada.

What You’ll Be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Supervise the end-to-end bi-weekly payroll process along with timekeeping activities and records while maintaining compliance with all regulatory government agencies for pay practices and tax payments / filings, as well as adherence to all internal policies and procedures.
- Provide a high level of client service to employees and respond to inquiries in a timely manner. Provide guidance to staff regarding functional, procedural, and technical issues.
- Comply with federal and provincial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions, including development of new processes.
- Supervise administration of benefits and retirement plan for employees. Maintain payroll and benefits policies and guidelines and document workflows for enhanced controls and data integrity.
- Work closely with the People & Culture team to maintain accurate employee records and support objectives that create a positive employee experience.
- Assist with disability management and workers compensation claims processes.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements :
- PCP or CPM certification required.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in supervisory role with direct reports.
- 5 years of experience processing multi-provincial payroll.
- Experience with Dayforce Payroll, Onboarding and HR modules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and planning skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure to manage important and time-sensitive priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Tech-savvy, including Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Bilingual (French) is an asset.
