Torus Talent is recruiting for the role of Intermediate Water Resources Engineer on behalf of our client . This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded, employee-owned engineering firm dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable water resource solutions. The position offers flexibility to work from various offices in British Columbia or remotely for the right candidate.
Additional Responsibilities :
- Work collaboratively with senior staff and multidisciplinary teams to identify innovative solutions and deliver water resources projects.
- Prepare technical documents, including reports, specifications, and design packages, and act as the Engineer of Record when required.
- Manage projects, including proposals, work plans, budgets, invoicing, and client interactions.
- Engage with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to develop and implement project solutions.
- Contribute to projects such as flood mitigation, waterway analysis, habitat enhancement, erosion control design, and construction reviews.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering with a focus on water resources.Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia.7+ years of experience in water resources engineering, including hydraulic modeling and flood hazard mapping for rivers.Demonstrated experience in the design, construction, and inspection of water resource projects.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, teams, and the public.Proficiency in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.Why Work for This Firm?
