Position Status: Regular, Full-time (1.0 FTE)

EFW Radiology is currently seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care!

The Role:

Cardiac Sonographers performs ultrasound examinations in an efficient and effective manner while providing exceptional patient care.

Reporting to: Ultrasound Supervisor.

Role Overview:

• Ensures that each patient seen by Symphony of Health is provided with the highest level of care, and that an exceptional patient experience is created.
• Gathers relevant patient history and information for preparation.
• Evaluates ultrasound images promptly to aid in diagnoses.
• Completes accurate documentation for each scan.
• Collaborates closely with Cardiologists.
• Maintains a positive work environment through professional conduct and strong teamwork.
• Adheres to all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates EFW values of Compassion, Trust, and Meaning in the workplace.
• Undertakes additional duties as assigned.

You have the following:

• Diploma or certificate from a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, including a minimum of 2 years of clinical practicum.
• Credentialed membership with Sonography Canada or ARDMS in cardiac sonography with liability insurance;
• Exposure to STRAIN, bubble studies, stress echocardiograms and contrast studies are an asset.
• Ability to scan on average 9 cases per day, consistently obtaining good quality images.
• Committed to providing professional and compassionate patient care.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to give clear instructions and ask questions when needed.
• Strong team player comfortable interacting with other team members and working independently
• Logical, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
• Strong computer and keyboarding skills, including a working knowledge of RIS software (including ISCV).

Schedule: Clinic Rotations including daytime, evening, and/or Saturday shifts as required. Symphony of Health clinical hours are 7:30 – 4:30 with the potential to change in the future.
