Position Summary :

Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, the Total Rewards Specialist will work with multiple stakeholders, and is responsible for the effective administration of the Total Rewards programs;

providing guidance and advice to the business on Total Rewards. Support and lead all annual total rewards processes such as wage surveys and merit cycle, short and long term incentives, vendor management, union negotiations, etc.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Leads total rewards programs for all salaried and non-union hourly groups, specific to base pay, incentive compensation and benefits / pension plans.
  • Lead annual processes such as survey completion / market analysis, merit / short term and long term incentive cycle, etc.

including planning, execution, communication and training.

  • Along with Director, Total Rewards, work closely with vendors and consultants to ensure the effective management of Sofina plans and service levels are met Develop and maintain competitive intelligence, benchmark analysis, financial modelling and studies emerging compensation trends for the fast moving consumer goods industry and general industry best practices.
  • Support union collective bargaining negotiations by balancing fiscal responsibility with market-based recommendations,Evaluates jobs using Hay job evaluation methodology;

accountable for maintaining job classification databases, role profile databases and compensation tools ensuring compliance with associated legislation including Pay Equity compliance.

Tracking and processing of vendor invoices.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Math or related discipline is required.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or working towards or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum 3- 5 years in Human Resources experience required;
  • Experience / knowledge of compensation, benefits and pension plans in a multi unionized environment as asset.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint;
