Site Description:

Artillery Park Aquatic Centre has a 25-metre, six lane lap pool, a 15-metre leisure pool, a fitness centre with a gymnasium and cardio/weight equipment, and all your favourite fitness programs .

Position: Temporary Full-Time Security Guard - City of Kingston - APAC

Site: City of Kingston APAC - 382 Bagot St.

Hours: Mon-Fri 06:00-14:00

Overtime Method: Ontario ESA (After 44 hours)

Payrate: $22.80/hour

Job Responsibilities:
• Proactive & reactive security patrols
• Majority of shift will be spent conducting exterior patrols
• Response to incidents
• Enforce new rules
• Report writing and note taking
• Daily shift reports
• Access Control
• Investigate routine incidents
• Additional Duties as Assigned
Job Requirements:
• Valid Security License for Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
• Able to stand for up to 6-8 hours per shift
• Able to complete extensive patrolling of site
• Enforce Rules on site
• English communication (oral and written) required
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)

• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Certification Requirements (All)

First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
