Our esteemed client, a prominent organization in Winnipeg, MB, is seeking a dedicated Investment Accountant to join their team.

Job Summary : As an Investment Accountant with our client, you will be integral to managing financial accounting entries, reconciliations, and reports for various investments.
Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in executing fixed-income investment back-office functions.
Start Date : Immediate
End Date : 3-month term with the possibility for extension.
Work Location Address : Downtown Winnipeg. Please note that this position requires in-office work as per Company policy.
Hours : Monday to Friday 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm
Job Responsibilities :
- Prepare accurate financial accounting entries and reconciliations for diverse investment portfolios.
- Generate comprehensive reports detailing investment activities, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Execute fixed income investment back-office functions, maintaining meticulous records and facilitating seamless transactions.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to analyze investment performance and identify areas for optimization and growth.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes, proactively implementing best practices to enhance financial operations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced certifications such as CPA designation or progress toward completion are highly desirable.
- Previous experience in investment accounting, financial reporting, or related fields is advantageous.
- Proficiency in financial software systems, including Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools, is essential.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
