Your primary responsibilities will include :
- Preparation and review of GST / QST and DAS remittances.
- Initial set up and maintenance of client’s payroll, deductions at source, CNESST etc.
- Liaise with the client, bookkeepers, and the government agencies as required, for tax assignments including preparation of tax returns (T1, T2s, T4s, T5s, HST), etc and ensure queries are cleared and tax submission deadlines are met.
- Bookkeeping duties such as monthly accounting, preparation and review of GST / HST and DAS remittances, payroll, etc.
- Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying the information.
- Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
- Preparation and completion of financial statements and tax returns for compilation engagements.
- Protects organization's value by keeping the information confidential.
- Responsible for maintaining the books and records for a group of our clients.
- Manage / train junior team members.
A successful candidate will have :
Requirements :
Must be an expert user of QuickBooks online. Prefer certified.Ability to prepare and file client’s payroll.Familiar with the various payroll calculations, statutory requirements, work permits and nonresident filings.Experience dealing with operating and real estate accounts.Preparation of personal and corporate income tax returns.Ability to multitask.Sense of urgency and ability to shuffle priorities as needed.Experience with the following software : Dext, TaxPrep and Caseware is a solid plus.Organized and detail-oriented.Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with a team.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to learn new software and technology quickly.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Strong business mindset.Bilingualism (French, English).Application Information :
