Weekend Attendant, Tenth Street

Reporting to the Campus Manager and utilizing a service excellence approach, this position is responsible for opening / closing assigned campuses on weekends, providing clerical services, assisting students, staff and others on campus, basic custodial work and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Unlocking and locking doors;
• Monitoring activities and ensuring college property is secured;
• Responding to inquiries and requests for assistance from students, staff and the general public;
• Performing switchboard and / or receptionist functions
• Processing room booking requests as required
• Covering lunch hour at the gym;
• Performing word processing and clerical services designated as high priority
• Light custodial work including : ensuring washrooms have adequate paper towels and toilet paper, garbage containers are emptied and dusting and glass cleaning is completed in assigned areas. Damp mopping in common areas and offices as required.
• Communicating with Campus Manager – Nelson / Castlegar and Maintenance as required; and
• Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education and Experience

This is a sessional, part-time (51%) position covering a leave, commencing February 14, 2026, and ending March 12, 2027, with the possibility of extension. This is a sessional contract, with work scheduled during academic terms only. There will be no assigned duties during the spring, summer, and winter breaks. Salary will be Pay Grade 3, $26.86 per hour in accordance with the PPWC Collective Agreement.
