Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Charge Medical Technologist or designate, the Echocardiography Sonographer provides delivery of ultrasound services as defined at regional and local levels. The Sonographer performs echocardiography scans requested by physicians and manages related patient care, exam requests, diagnostic file management, equipment and supplies. The role may include assisting with radiographic / ECG duties when trained and qualified. The incumbent ensures compliance with quality assurance programs and maintains standards set by accreditation bodies while supporting the shared health mission and values.
