The Quality Control Inspector Intern will report directly to the Deployment Manager and will be responsible for the performance of all quality functions and duties as related to the installation of gas meters and equipment within their specific project.
This is a full-time contract opportunity eligible for co-op students and recent graduates. This contract may range between 4-12 months in duration.
What You’ll Do Here :
Conduct inspections of gas meter installations to verify compliance with company policies and client specifications (travel to on-site locations across the lower mainland is required).Review installation documentation and ensure all necessary paperwork is complete and accurate.Identify and document any discrepancies or deviations from established protocols during inspections.Communicate effectively with installation teams to address any issues and provide guidance on compliance.Collaborate with management to develop and implement quality assurance initiatives aimed at improving installation practices.Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspections conducted.Stay updated on industry regulations and safety standards related to gas meter installations.What You’ll Bring to the Team :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in quality control or a related field is preferred.Previous experience in quality inspection, preferably in the utility or gas industry.Strong understanding of gas meter installation processes and relevant regulations.Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract is required.Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with various teams.Computer literate in MS Office, Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.The expected pay range for this position is between $21.00 / hr - $25.00 / hr.
