Apprentice Instrumentation Technician

Propak Systems Ltd. is an established leader in engineering fabrication and construction of gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry. We are currently seeking Apprentice Instrumentation Technicians to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie AB.

We offer day evening and weekend shifts with excellent premiums for evening and weekend day shifts. Key Responsibilities :

• Layout measure bend fabricate and install tubing small piping and supports for utility process and interment systems.
• Install instrument air lines complete with valves.
• Select tubing size fittings and wall thickness according to project specifications.
• Install control and measurement instruments on existing and new plant equipment and processes.
• Consult manufacturers manuals circuit diagrams and blueprints to install instruments used for measuring and controlling flow level pressure temperature chemical composition and other variables in manufacturing and processing.
• Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic electrical and electronic testing devices and prevision measuring instruments.
• Repair and adjust system components such as sensors transmitters and control valves or remove and replace defective parts.
• Calibrate components and instruments according to manufacturers specifications.
