What this job involves:

JLL is hiring a Maintenance Technician for its leading technology client in Kitchener. The technician is part of the Facilities Management team that ensures the clients modern campus runs smoothly and safely for its employees and guests. JLL manages four buildings that are connected or within walking distance to each other creating a dynamic work environment that supports innovation and collaboration. This role will handle diverse maintenance requests such as minor plumbing and electrical repairs painting and furniture installation and repair. Each day will be varied and present new challenges offering excellent opportunities to develop technical skills while working with state-of-the-art building systems

This role is on-site Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Performs service requests ensuring work is executed professionally efficiently and with minimal disruption to the client.
• Completes general maintenance tasks including but not limited to painting plumbing repairs changing light bulbs and ballasts hanging pictures installing keyboard trays and repairing office furniture systems as assigned.
• Responds effectively to emergencies and may need to attend to occasional requests.
• Troubleshoots system and equipment failures.
• Complies with policies for the safe storage usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Maintains records for completed work in a neat and organized manner.
• Maintains machinery equipment and tools in working order.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of maintenance experience
• Proficient in basic electrical plumbing and general repairs and using any hand and power tools required
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and use ladders up to 26 feet
• Strong customer service skills

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications location market conditions and internal considerations.
