Overview
The Manager National Trade Development will serve as the primary liaison between the local market and designated suppliers;
work to develop strategic direction for supplier priorities to meet volume and value targets through optimal allocation of resources and adherence to brand strategy / standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and evaluate sales, promotions, and marketing of brands
- Ensure brand pricing and gross profit is aligned to strategy by channel
- Interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders for updating programming and brand priorities, standards, and best practices leading to successful execution in the market
- Ensure all program tracking is accurate, timely, and aligns with regional and individual state reporting
- Build and implement the travel and retail strategy and complete audits for quality implementation in stores
- Lead all components of the sales process including targeting appropriate accounts, lead selling, training & education, and positioning brands for success at head office level
- Manage existing client relations while sourcing new Business Development opportunities (private clients)
- Compile reports on account progress for Duty Free (review depletions, stocks and shipments), complete reconciliation, collect information on point of sales, etc.
and provide detailed tracking reports of wholesaler performance against agreed-to supplier objectives
Additional Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the relationships between the Company and regional key customers to form long-term partnerships
- Utilize various available analytic tools (Tableau, ACD, EzFocus, etc.) to identify local market intelligence and opportunities consumer shifts / trends, channel dynamics, key account dynamics, etc.
- Create, coordinate, and attend on-site promotional functions at established customer accounts as required
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five years of relevant experience
- Able to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed
- Must possess a valid driver license and secure and maintain auto-liability insurance by state laws
- Overnight travel as required
