Process Engineer

Summary

We are seeking a Process Engineer to perform process design across gas processing and modular facility projects. This role integrates simulation, major equipment sizing, pressure safety and control systems, hydraulics, and piping / BOM coordination through detailed design and start-up support.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension or transition into a permanent position if it’s a strong mutual fit.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop and validate process simulations; generate and maintain PFDs and P&IDs through all project phases.
• Perform sizing, rating, and evaluation of vessels, towers, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, tanks, and auxiliary systems.
• Execute pressure safety and control valve sizing (PSV, BDV, PVRV, regulators), relief scenario development, and flare / header hydraulic assessments.
• Conduct process and utility line sizing, plant hydraulic studies, NPSH evaluations, reboiler elevation checks, and drain / purge system design.
• Define instrumentation and process setpoints; contribute to shutdown keys (SDK), control narratives, alarm philosophy, and safety documentation.
• Develop and maintain line lists, piping specifications, and BOMs for equipment and inline components; ensure material traceability and constructability.
• Coordinate with vendors and multidisciplinary teams to integrate technical data, support procurement, fabrication, design reviews, and commissioning.
