IT Business Analyst

We are looking for a highly skilled IT Business Analyst to support Gen AI and data initiatives for the Operational Risk Tower within the Group Functions Global Risk Technology team at Manulife. The role involves developing Gen AI use cases, data analysis, and working closely with Agile squads to deliver innovative solutions that enhance risk management processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create detailed data mapping and data flow diagrams
• Document comprehensive business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Collaborate with Agile squads for project delivery
• Develop and implement Gen AI use cases to solve business problems
• Use RSA Archer for managing risk and compliance processes
• Apply operational risk concepts to analyze and mitigate risk exposure
• Execute complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
• Create source-to-target mappings for data integration workflows
• Use Azure Open AI and Azure Synapse for AI and analytics solutions

Required Skills:

• 3–5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or related role
• Proficiency in Gen AI use case development
• Experience with RSA Archer and operational risk terminology
• Advanced SQL expertise
• Strong experience with data mapping and data flow diagramming
• Proven business requirement documentation skills
• Hands-on experience working in Agile squads
• Familiarity with Azure Open AI and Azure Synapse
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other AI and analytics tools
• Certification in RSA Archer or Agile methodologies
• Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field

Certifications:

Preferred: RSA Archer Certification, Agile Certification

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
