Sous Chefs will act as an assistant manager to the winery Chef and help lead a culinary / kitchen team in developing and executing patio / restaurant, wine and food pairing experiences including special events. Ensure all dishes are prepared to Arterra standards to showcase our premium VQA wines that align within wineries brand strategy. Assist with offsite catering when required.

Duties / Responsibilities / Procedures :
Execution of food delivery for patio / restaurants and special eventsPreparation of food ensuring quality, consistency and presentation are meeting all winery and health standardsProviding exceptional and professional customer serviceEnsure line cooks and kitchen assistants are preparing food according to standards and adhering to kitchen policiesOff-site catering when requiredAssist Chef as requiredRepresenting the winery at offsite eventsJob Requirements :
Red Seal Certification3-5 years professional cooking experienceAbility work well within a team-focused environmentKnowledge of variety of cooking methodsKnowledge of and ability to respond to special dietary needsAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentResponsible and trustworthyAmbitious and goal-orientedAbility to stand for long periods of timeWine knowledge an asset but not necessary as training is providedMust be available to work on evenings and weekendsFood Safe Handler’s CertificationCompensation : $24 / hr plus gratuities
