Casual Educational Assistant

JOB SUMMARY :

Under the direction and supervision of the Principal, the Educational Assistant will :

• Assist in developing and implementing an educational program in an integrated setting, emphasizing :
• Behaviour Management
• Socialization skills;
• Developmental communication skills
• Self-help skills.
• Participate in program planning in close co-operation with the home setting and school;
• Participate in assessment and treatment planning;
• Maintain accurate daily records;
• Provide supervision as assigned; and
• Other related duties.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Casual Early Childhood Educator

JOB SUMMARY :

Reporting to the Principal, the designated Early Childhood Educator will be assigned to a kindergarten classroom and will partner with the classroom teacher and other support staff provide input and implement an early learning program within a Catholic classroom setting as well as provide supervision. The ECE will collaborate in the design and implementation of programs and environments which will enhance the children’s cognitive, physical, social, spiritual and emotional development. The ECE will perform all duties assigned by the Principal and / or Designate with respect to the Early Learning Program, in accordance with the Education Act and the policies and procedures of the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board.
