Night Shift : Sunday to Thursday, 9 : 45 PM to 6 : 30 AMPosition Overview :
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Operations Coach is accountable for supervising and leading a high-performing team responsible for handling products safely, efficiently, and effectively as it moves through the facility. The Operations Coach executes daily and weekly operational plans to meet and exceed customer service requirements and is responsible for the motivation, training, and leadership of their team.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Monitor team member performance ensuring they are executing assigned tasks safely, accurately, and as scheduledAssigns work to team members taking into account available hours, skill sets, and other resources to ensure operational targets are metMentor and build relationships with team membersCoach, counsel, and train team members to ensure competence, as well as prepare them for future opportunitiesSet team members up for success; achieve or exceed key performance indicators, as well as safety, performance, and budget targets; record daily performance metricsPromote safety in the work environment and ensure all safety rules are followedDirect resolution to equipment issues (for example, replace failed equipment or contact Maintenance)Identify and assist in implementing process improvementsEvaluate staffing needs to meet daily, weekly, and monthly volume swingsUse Engineered Labour Standards and other systems to achieve all KPIsPerform other duties as requiredQualification Standards :
1-3 years of prior supervisory or team leader experience in a manufacturing or distribution environmentPost-secondary education (an asset)Demonstrated team-building skillsAbility to build rapport and trust with othersExperience and willingness to mentor and coach othersAnalytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex problems; creative problem-solvingDemonstrable knowledge of MS Office Software suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)Ability to communicate and listen effectivelyAbility to manage change well and remain positive to changesAbility to speak to large teams, communicate information, and listen effectivelyPositive attitude and cheerleader for the teamExperience creating and maintaining a Safety First cultureKnowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, voice pick technology, and Engineered Labour Standards (an asset)Understanding of fulfillment / distribution centre / warehouse processes and flowAbility to work variable shift start times and work additional hours as needed and according to movement between shiftsRONA is an inclusive employer.
