Qualifications

Required Skills / Training :

• Post-secondary courses in programs such as Early Childhood Development, Educational Assistant, Personal Care Aide or similar related areas and / or related experience would be considered an asset.
• Training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention would be considered an asset.
• Experience with, and ability to handle, high needs children with a variety of emotional needs would be considered an asset.
• Experience with, and ability to handle, the needs of elementary aged children would be considered an asset.
• Based on the needs of individual students, ability to provide assistance in occupational therapy, physical therapy, dressing, eating, toileting, and transferring could be required with support / training provided as necessary.
• First Aid / CPR would be considered an asset.
• Possess a current and valid driver’s license.
