Position : Senior Financial Analyst
Facility : Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada
Reports to : General Manager Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada and Senior Director of Finance (Orlando, Florida)
Job Purpose : The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supervising the financial operations at Ripley’s Aquarium . This includes budget preparation, financial analysis as well as working with department heads to ensure all accounts and invoices are correct and up to date.

Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada Ltd is open 365 days of the year, this makes our company and industry fun and exciting, but it is something to consider. You will be expected to be regularly available to work any shift during the hours of operation.
Critical Accountabilities :
Analysis and Forecasting
- Analyzing daily attendance and revenue reports to ensure accuracy.
- Review and analyze departmental financial statements on a monthly basis, including assisting in developing monthly variance analysis.
- Assist all departments with accounting and finance issues including monthly expenses reports.
- Preparing budgets twice a year. Coordinating with department heads and General Manager to ensure accurate forecasting.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for cost reduction or improvement. Provide management with key insights into financial performance and help with decision-making processes.
- As requested, complete a wide range of financial analysis, including new projects or new exhibits, ticketing programs sales promotions and revenue center performance as requested.
Other
Supervise and oversee the cash office operations.Review and approve all contracts from a financial perspective, assist in the negotiating of new agreements or renewals.Assist with financial and tax audits and departmental inventories as requiredMiscellaneous projects or reports as required by General Manager or Senior Director of Finance.Special Skills and Requirements :
2 – 3 years working experience as a Financial Analyst or accountantDegree in Business, Commerce, Finance or related fieldExperience in Hospitality or Tourism would be considered an asset.Proficiency in developing spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applicationsExperience with statistical analysis and statistical packagesExcellent communication and people skillsAccuracy and attention to detail is essential.Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction.Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees.Able to travel to the United States for training and as required.Thank you for your interest in Ripley's Aquarium of Canada.
