26-012i Facility Maintenance Supervisor (Full Time)

Reporting to the Facility Maintenance Coordinator this is a working supervisor in the area of assignment including custodian service minor maintenance physical plant in a large recreation complex and at subsidiary sites. Duties are performed independently within established guidelines practices and policies. Independence of judgement is exercised within the scope of the work. Supervisory duties and initiative are exercised within the assigned area. Work performance is monitored and reviewed in terms of the effectiveness of services rendered.

The Training Manual Requirements pre-qualifications for this position are:

• Completion of Grade 12
• Pool Operator Level 1 and 2
• Refrigeration Operator Certificate (Arena)
• Two (2) years full time equivalent experience in general building maintenance physical plant operations and custodial work to include the operation of heating ventilation public pool filters pumps and chemistry air conditioning and ice making refrigeration system.
• Minimum six (6) months supervisory experience or successful completion of a supervisory skills post secondary course minimum 36 hours

The Class Specification requires a Valid Class 5 Drivers License for the Province of British Columbia and is a job requirement.
