We have an immediate opening for a Geotechnical Technicianto join our Materials Testing group in our London, ON/Windsor, ON office.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Carrying out aggregate, soil tests in the field and within our Aggregate Laboratories;
• Soil Identification and Examination of Subgrade Soils
• Insitu Density and Compaction Testing
• Concrete, Mortar and Grout Sampling and Testing
• Asphalt Sampling and Testing
• Ensuring field and laboratory equipment is maintained in good condition;
• Assisting management team in field and laboratory certification, and record keeping;
• Interacting with Materials and Geotechnical Engineers routinely;
• Operating computerized and digital testing equipment.
• Field and Laboratory result report writing.

What your experience looks like

• Minimum 3 years experience in field and Aggregate, testing Laboratory;
• College diploma an asset
• Field experience in concrete, earthworks and asphalt
• CCIL/CSA certified for field concrete testing (required), laboratory certification an asset.
• Strong communication skills and leadership capabilities;
• Ability to work overtime in peak periods;
• Excellent organizational skills and time management a must;
• Proficiency with the windows operating system, Microsoft Excel;
• Able to organize, prioritize, set and adjust priorities and schedules independently.

This job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.The salary range for this role is between $45K - $55K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
