Position Overview

Were looking for a confident, people-focused Accounting Team Lead (CPA) to join our accounting operations and take ownership of a small yet high-performing team of Staff Accountants and Associates.

Youll be responsible for ensuring weekly team goals are met, managing a portfolio of our largest clients, and helping your team navigate both technical challenges and team growth. Whether youre coaching on reconciliations, rolling out a new process, or stepping in to handle a sensitive client situationyoure ready to lead from the front.

This is a new role built for a strong full-cycle CPA who owns outcomes, has accounting excellence, and has an instinct for process efficiency. Success is measured by operational efficiency, exceptional client service, and leading sustained team performance.

What Youll Do

• Lead the Team : Supervise, support, and motivate a team of staff associatesensuring objectives are clear, progress is tracked, and work gets done on time and to standard.
• Own Large and Complex Accounts : Manage a portfolio of advanced and large clients directly, handling intricate accounting issues, escalations, and cleanups with confidence.
• Deliver Exceptional Customer Service : Manage communications with empathy and care, meet regularly with high-value clients, and respond promptly to all client inquiries.
• Mentor & Develop Talent : Train, coach, and mentor junior and mid-level team members. Help them grow their technical skills, client communication, and judgment.
• Drive Weekly Success : Monitor team capacity, progress, and bottlenecks. Adjust assignments as needed to hit weekly deliverables and keep client work flowing smoothly.
• Quality Control & Review : Oversee file accuracy, bookkeeping standards, and workflow compliance. Provide hands-on reviews and feedback where needed.
• Process Improvement : Report to the Client Financial Controller to streamline systems, improve tools, and evolve our accounting processes for better efficiency and scale.
• Performance Management : Conduct regular check-ins, give timely feedback, and support employee development. Participate in hiring, onboarding, andwhen necessaryperformance corrections or terminations.
• Cross-Team Collaboration : Work closely with the Client Financial Controller and other Team Leads in accounting operations to align efforts, share insights, and make informed decisions that impact the broader company.
• Champion the Culture : Promote Agiles ethos of curiosity, ownership, communication, and empathyboth with your team and with clients.
