Inside Sales Representative – Kelowna, BC (On‑site, Permanent Full‑Time)

SUMMARY
Doman's sales force is comprised of Inside Sales Representatives, Commodity Traders, and Account Managers. The ISR serves as the primary customer‑facing role, creating a first impression and ensuring order accuracy, entry, and communication with operations. The ISR sells siding, decking, railing, and other building material product lines to independent lumber yards, regional dealers, national chains, and industrial / OEM customers. The ISR contributes to revenue growth on a per‑order basis.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
Depending on the branch, the ISR reports to the General Manager, Branch Manager, or Inside Sales Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promptly answer inbound customer calls for orders, quotes, and inquiries; determine customer requirements and secure maximum invoice value.
- Identify upsell opportunities and sell complementary products.
- Enter orders accurately and efficiently into the order system; communicate vital information to operations.
- Handle credits and returns accurately.
- Resolve customer problems by clarifying issues, researching solutions, and escalating unresolved problems.
- Collaborate, where appropriate, with Account Managers to manage customer relationships.
- Utilize call planning to place outbound calls that promote Doman products, fill delivery trucks, follow up on orders, and offer sales promotions to increase order value.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent customer‑service skills on the phone.Anticipate customer needs and proactively engage.Comfortable with outbound calls to existing customers.Quick learner of technical building‑industry information; knowledge of wood‑frame residential construction is an asset.Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook; good keyboarding and computer skills; aptitude for numerical calculations.Excellent English communication skills, capable of influencing sales over the phone.Education

Typical hiring range : $52,000 – $56,000 annually (geographically adjusted). The base pay is based on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. Compensation information is an estimate and provided to comply with provincial Pay Transparency legislation.
