Overview

Agilus is recruiting for a Process Safety Engineer in the oil & gas industry in Sarnia, Ontario .

The Process Safety Engineer will be accountable for leading various process safety tasks and supporting the sustainment and continuous improvement of key processes in the Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS).

Total Rewards

$57.00 - $67.00 hourly
Preferred rates for benefit coverage available
6 month contract with opportunity for extension.

A Typical Day

Lead and oversee process hazard analysis (PHA), risk management, investigations, MOC reviews, consequence analysis and facility siting

Participate in various Process Safety Networks

Support the Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) including implementing improvements, stewarding KPIs, analysing critical control analysis data

Work closely with all areas of the refinery, including Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and EH&S

Successful Candidates Will Have

Ten years of relevant experience, preferably in the refining or petrochemical industries

Professional Engineer in Province of Ontario or eligible to apply with PEO

Extensive knowledge of Process Safety Principles

Experience facilitating PHAs (e.g. HAZOPs, What ifs, etc.)

Experience with consequence analysis and facility siting assessments

Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
