MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE PLANNER

Activity sector : Pulp and Paper

Wage : $85,000 - $120,000.00

Schedule : Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off)

YOUR ROLE

The Kruger Kamloops Pulp Mill is looking to hire a full-time Mechanical Maintenance Planner to join our Maintenance team. Reporting to the Planning Superintendent, the successful candidate will plan and schedule for multi trade crews within a multi trade work environment.

YOUR RESPONSABILITIES

üImprove maintenance productivity through effective planning and scheduling of activities and resources;

üFocus on continuous improvement;

üImplement excellent planning and scheduling practices for preventative / predictive, routine and planned outage maintenance work;

üPlanning work orders;

üIdentifying safety and environmental requirements;

üEstablish work methods;

üIdentify resource requirements;

üEstimate the cost of jobs;

üCheck availability of workforce and materials refurbishment planning ;

üProvide vacation coverage for Mechanical Supervisors;

üProvide weekend support on rotation (approximately four times per year);

üOther duties as reasonably assigned.

YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES

üDetail oriented with proven organization skills;

üDemonstrated leadership abilities along with excellent communication skills;

üAbility to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks;

üWorking knowledge of budget and accountability processes;

üTeam player who is able to maintain effective working relationships with other personnel including trades, peers, superiors, vendors, etc.;

üCommitted to best practices in health, safety, and environmental management;

üSelf -motivated, open-minded and results oriented;

üProficient with computers and computerized maintenance systems (SAP).

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

üPossess an Interprovincial Red Seal Certification in a mechanical trade or a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;

üProficient with computers including experience in working with a computerized maintenance system (SAP);

üPrevious experience planning and scheduling within a multi trade work environment is considered an asset;

üA dual ticket is considered an asset.
