We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join a team in the Manufacturing industry located in Mississauga, ON.

Position : Accounting Clerk

Location : Mississauga

Industry : Manufacturing / Distribution

Type : 3 months contract, could extend or turn permanent based on performance.

Responsibilities

In this Accounting Clerk role in Mississauga, you will have the following benefits :

  • Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, posting transactions, and reconciling accounts.
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with contract terms and billing requirements.
  • Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and facilitate timely payments while adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding issues promptly.
  • Assist in the processing of biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation, including filing and organizing invoices, receipts, and other accounting documents.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting tasks.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and operations, to ensure accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external vendors regarding billing, payments, and account balances in a professional and timely manner.
  • Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and contribute to process improvements.
  • Qualifications

    We are looking for the following for this Accounting Clerk role located in Mississauga :

  • A minimum of 1 year of accounting experience is required.
  • A post-graduate diploma or degree in either business administration or accounting is required.
  • Some experience with payroll is required.
  • Experience using SAP is a strong asset.
  • Strong communication is required for this role.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team.
