We have a terrific opportunity to join a growing team as a Regional Controller based out of Surrey, BC! You would oversee the day to day accounting operations of 4 businesses located in BC and California. CPA and strong knowledge of IFRS is required. You're also comfortable with 50% travel to California wine country!
Job Responsibilities :
- Assist in the day-to-day accounting operations for GL, Inventory / Cost, cash management and AP.
- Monitor expenditures, cash flow and implement budgets.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end closing process including preparation of continuity schedules and reconciliations.
- Participate in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements, forecasts, annual budgets, cash flows and provide explanations for all variances.
- Propose and implement best practices across Finance teams (e.g., process improvements, internal controls, etc.)
- Work closely with the Corporate Finance and Accounting team.
- Recognize patterns in the company’s financial performance and recommend solutions.
- Provide support and schedules for sales & tax compliance.
- Ensure processes are aligned and followed in accounting and operational systems, to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data for financial statement preparation.
- Participate in special projects.
Must Haves / Top 3 Requirements :
Designated accountant (CPA or equivalent) with 8+ years of accounting & financial reporting experience along with 3+ years of proven Controllership experienceManufacturing, inventory and cost accounting experienceStrong ERP system experience and ideally IFS would be beneficialIFRS experience would be an assetOther Soft Skills and Experience :
