Our client a dynamic, downtown Ottawa law firm is currently seeking an experienced Real Estate Development Lawyer to join their firm.

Your Responsibilities :
- The Real Estate Development Lawyer will be involved in all aspects of commercial and residential real estate : land acquisition, development, financing, leasing, structuring, and sale processes.
- Land purchases and sales, financing and joint venture structures, developments including cost sharing arrangements for owner groups, volume sales of residential lots, raw land development and infill redevelopment.
- Land use planning, expropriation, municipal property tax assessment and municipal finance including site-specific and broad development policy issues, and related development matters including disputes.
Your Requirements :
- 5+ Years’ Post-Call Experience as a lawyer in Ontario working with a law firm dealing in real estate and municipal and planning law
- Good understanding of corporate law
- Experience drafting development agreements including joint venture agreements, cost sharing agreements, subdivision agreements and site plan agreements, etc.
- Experience representing landowners before the Ontario Land Tribunal, Committee of Adjustments, and other related in land-use planning matters and disputes
- Experience taking raw land through the development approval process to obtain subdivision, site plan or development approval, including strata consents
