The Opportunity :
For our client, a leading process solutions provider, we are seeking an Analytical Instrumentation Field Technician to join their team.
In this role you will be responsible for providing quality work, service and technical support to end customers by travelling throughout the assigned service area local to Calgary, and beyond. Day to day you will be testing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and reconditioning analytical process instrumentation products sold by our client to a range of industries across Western Canada. Applications range from water quality, to gas analysis to CEMS (continuous emission monitoring systems) and more.
The successful candidate will need to be able to drive, as well having a valid passport enabling them to receive supplier training in the USA.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Starting-up, commissioning and troubleshooting our client’s analytical equipment
- Servicing and repairs of equipment both in the field and in-house
- Interpreting engineering designs, drawings, wiring diagrams and specifications for analytical systems
- Responding to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner via phone and / or email
- Supporting sales initiatives by providing technical expertise, creating evaluation reports and liaising potential sales opportunities
- Preparing and maintaining records and reports as required
- Providing client training when required
What You'll Need To Be Successful :
A technical diploma in instrumentation or related field) from a recognized post-secondary institution, orAlternatively a recognized trade certificate (i.e., instrumentation technician)Experience working in a service technician role focusing on measurement and analytics (i.e., chromatography, spectroscopy, and similar)Ability to travel as requiredStrong organizational skills and the ability to successfully manage time and priorities is requiredAbility to communicate clearly and effectively via phone and email in English is a mustProficient in Microsoft Office suiteLegally eligible to work in CanadaMust have a valid passportSalary :
$40 - $44 hourly
