Our public sector client is seeking a Intermediate Business Intelligence Analyst to migrate Power BI Report Server solutions to Power BI Services
Calgary candidates preferred, but open to % remote in Canada (working MST hours). 37.5 hour work week.
Must haves :
- 5+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence role focusing on migrate existing solutions from Power BI Report Server to Power BI Services, utilizing multiple databases including SQL Server or Oracle
- 3+ years of experience Administering Power BI platform solutions, including data visualizations , and creatingor modify dashboards
- 2+ years of experience mentoring other Business Intelligence users / developers
Nice to haves :
- Previous work experience in the public sector or large organizations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrating ability to work with various audiences.
Responsibilities :
- Working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand and assess reporting and dashboarding requirements.
- Planning and preparing the environment for migration to Power BI Service.
- Validating and testing of solutions post migration to ensure everything is working properly, this includes security, connectivity, content, functionality, and performance.
- Coordinating the migration of solutions to Power BI Service and decommissioning of solutions on Power BI Report Server.
- Creating technical documentation to meet long-term support and training requirements.
- Providing knowledge transfer to internal support staff.
