Our client is seeking an Intermediate UI Designer (5+ years) to design high-fidelity prototypes for mobile-first and responsive design solutions within the automotive industry.
note - this opportunity is open to both contract and permanent applicants.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and present rough drafts and high-fidelity mocks to internal teams and key stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions that show a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design while keeping accessibility and brand at the forefront of considerations.
- Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks to keep pace ahead of the development team.
- Providing advice and guidance on the implementation of UX research methodologies and testing activities in order to analyze and predict user behavior.
- Work closely with product and marketing departments to conceptualize user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
- Testing UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages using CMS’ like WordPress to aid in the deployment of new features.
- Adhering to style standards on typography and graphic design to take on brand identity.
- Artistic and critical thinker who is adaptable when receiving feedback and constructive criticism internally and from all levels of business
Must Have :
- 5+ years as a UI Designer
- Figma
- Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
- High-fidelity prototyping , wireframing and mock-ups
- Strong UI Design portfolio showcasing understanding of mobile-first and responsive design .
Nice to Have :
- Front end development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
- WordPress
- Illustration, video and animation experience
- Formal training, education and / or certification in Product or UX / UI Design
- Automotive industry
- Hybrid in Winnipeg
