The successful candidate
will be responsible for : Acting as Team Leader, coordinating multi-disciplinary team members Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including Emotional Behavioral Specialists, FSLWs, Psychologists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Mental Health Therapists Coaching community school staff and learning teams individually and as part of a professional learning community Implementing strength-based and individualized strategies and practices Using a range of assessments, including observational assessments, work samples, digital portfolios, informal & formal assessments, and AFLS Understanding how ASD and other developmental delays can affect the academic experience of students Implementing and supporting Applied Behavioural Analysis Ensuring assessment is used for reporting and informing teaching practice / learning opportunities Writing appropriate IPP goals and ensuring programming supports goal development Using technology to enhance the learning experience Ongoing communication with families regarding IPP goals, programming, celebrations, and challenges Building knowledge about appropriate assistive technologies required for students to access curriculum Collaborating with community schools, student’s support staff (EA, TABT), and parents / guardian Edmonton Catholic Schools is committed to maintaining a respectful and inclusive workplace that welcomes and values candidates from diverse backgrounds.
